Volunteer Tutoring Program for Victims of Natural Disasters
MyEnglish and Volunteer Tutors
Knowledgebuilder™ is pleased to offer free online tutoring services to students affected by natural disasters on writing paragraphs, essays and reports through the use of MyEnglish©. This service applies to middle years, senior years and college students. Since our service is online, students can access it from wherever they have been relocated after hurricanes etc. have devastated their communities.
We have assembled a group of dedicated tutors who are excited about sharing their knowledge about writing with students in distress. Some are high school students with some training in the use of MyEnglish who have offered to be peer tutors; others are professional tutors trained in coaching students on how to revise and edit essays and reports.

How do students qualify?
Students who are victims of a natural disaster such as hurricanes, tornados, etc. qualify for this program. Teachers identify these students and submit their names and the natural disaster that hit their communities as candidates for the Volunteer Tutoring Program.
Here is how it works:
- Teacher/Principal submits list of students who are victims of natural disasters by email to roy@kb2020.com . The list should include: teachers’ names, students’ names, school email address and the name of the natural disaster.
- Roy forwards a username and password for each student and teacher.
- Students and teachers receive access to MyEnglish for a 3 month period
- Teachers select one of the 3 Options below.
- Tutors write feedback to the writing assignments listed in the Options.
