The minimum requirement to access MyEnglish^© is high speed Internet access.

The GrammarBooks include grammar notes and grammar activities at the basic, intermediate and advanced levels. The grammar activities are scored and returned immediately. In total, the three levels of grammar contain 1600 grammar activities.

MyEnglish^© offers assignments, called Reading, that prepare students for writing. These assignments introduce students to different text structures used to write descriptions, comparisons, analyses, just to mention a few. Detailed notes and sample texts that illustrate the use of each text structure are included. The Reading activities are scored and returned immediately. In total, the levels contain hundreds of Reading activities.

MyEnglish^© includes the following assignments:

• Level I - 6 assignments which include 5 paragraphs
  
• Level II - 4 paragraphs and two reports
  
• Level III - 1 report, two essays and 1 editorial

The short answer is that your ability to write essays and reports should improve by two grade levels based on the Flesch-Kincaid Readability Analysis:

• the reading ease of your text should improve - more people should be able to read your text
  
• the grade level of your text should go up

• write a minimum of 4 essays or reports in about 10 weeks
  
• get feedback from peers and a teacher/tutor
  
• revise each paper with the help of the feedback and the strategies listed in the e-Writer
  
• edit each paper for spelling and grammar with a SpellCheck and Grammarcheck

MyEnglish^© offers Placement and Final Tests at each of the three Levels. We prepare a report on your performance on the pre-tests. Our tests are aligned with IELTS writing standards which are aligned with careers ranging from those which require few writing skills to those which require academic or professional writing skills.

No, you do not have to register for any course. However, taking a course helps some people learn to write. Knowledgebuilder™ offers writing and grammar courses at three levels of difficulty which range from beginner level to college preparation.

MyEnglish^© can be used online by teachers to help students write essays and reports. Students receive their assignments and return them online to Knowledgebuilder™ for scoring and, if requested, to write feedback on the essays and reports. Teachers may grade and write feedback on them as well. All instruction would continue to occur in the classroom. We offer a training program for teachers on how to use MyEnglish^©.

Yes, students may use their usernames and passwords to access MyEnglish^© in school, at home, or a public library provided the computer they are using is connected to the Internet.

When you look at the list of products and services we offer, you will see the product called' MyEnglish Course with individual feedback'. Sign up for this course and you will receive specific feedback on how to improve each of the papers you submit in the course. Check the price list for the fee.

First, write your essay or report on any computer using any word processor of your choice. Second, copy and paste your paper into the e-Writer in Class Server. Third, ask your teacher for feedback. Fourth, submit your paper to Knowledgebuilder™ for feedback if you have purchased this service. Fifth, revise your paper based on the feedback you have received. Finally, edit your paper with the help of a Spellcheck and GrammarCheck.

The answer to this question depends on each individual writer. You can show some improvement with each essay or report. We recommend that you use MyEnglish^© for at least four essays or reports to ensure that a number of writing skills and strategies have been internalized.

The amount of time spent on the Internet can vary quite a lot. First, you are encouraged to write your first draft on any computer and word processor available to you without being online. Then copy and paste your first draft to the e-Writer and request feedback from your teacher and Knowledgebuilder™. This is a quick and easy process. Now you are ready to make your revisions and to edit your text for spelling and grammar. Whatever time it takes to revise and edit your text is the time you need to be online. You must be online to do the assignments in the GrammarBooks and WritingPrep Modules.

MyEnglish^© can be used effectively by anyone who has grade 6 reading and writing skills or higher. The key to success in using MyEnglish^© is to write frequently, receive feedback and revise your text based on the feedback.
